Living in London, I am exposed to many different faces, ethnicities and also styles. From the intricate patterns in Punjabi garments, to the extreme and radical statements in punk rock, the centre for culture, London, has it all. But does it really?

Africa boasts a significant amount of raw materials, endless tropical weather, and of course striking art. With both of my parents originating from West Africa, Ghana, I am fascinated by the amazing designs and arts they have on offer. I tend to see beautifully fitting dresses and well-tailored blazers made out of Ghana’s “national” pattern, Kente, however, I haven’t yet seen it on a t-shirt. This is what forced me to think of customising my own shirts simply for wearing. However; with appreciation, compliments, and encouragement from others, I decided to launch my own clothing brand. But what to call it? Well, the eye catching materials are from West Africa, and the clothing styles are that of the ‘western world’...
